PARSIQ 2023: A Year of Innovation and Growth — A Letter from CEO Rong Kai Wong
Comprehensive year-end reflection, highlighting key achievements and a vision for the future
Dear PARSIQ Community,
As we bid farewell to 2023, I am honoured to connect with you through this message, marking not just the culmination of this year’s endeavours but also my first year as CEO of PARSIQ. This letter aims to reflect on our journey through 2023, share our exciting plans for 2024, and offer a glimpse into the transformative potential of our upcoming Reactive Network.
Reflecting on 2023: A Year of Significant Milestones
This year has been pivotal for PARSIQ. We have witnessed remarkable progress across our APIs and data lakes, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our team. A personal milestone for me was stepping into the role of CEO in July, a responsibility I embraced with immense pride and a vision for the future.
As we reflect on the events that shaped PARSIQ in 2023, it’s evident that this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. From strategic partnerships to product launches and significant milestones, our journey has been marked by innovation and growth. Let’s take a closer look at the key moments that define each month of this remarkable year.
JANUARY: The year kicked off with a bang as PARSIQ’s Tsunami API found its way onto Arbitrum One, enhancing our presence in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape. We also joined forces with ESG DAO to create OpenESG, a new and fair ESG scoring system set to change the industry.
FEBRUARY: We gathered in Tallinn to plan the next steps for our growth. Tsunami API got even better by covering Arbitrum Classic. Our NFT Data Lake expanded to include Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, and BNB Smart Chain. We introduced ABI Decoder and JS Client for Tsunami API. As Meta Sponsors, we were part of ETHDenver 2023. I spoke in London, and CoinEx listed $PRQ, boosting our presence in crypto. PARSIQ teamed up with Blockchain Founders Group and Magic Square.
MARCH: VirtuSwap integration showcased the real-time synchronisation capabilities of PARSIQ’s Tsunami API in DEX trading pools. Our global presence was highlighted with participation in Paris Blockchain Week and the Binance meetup in Tallinn.
APRIL: Cryptomeria Capital selected PARSIQ as the first portfolio project to benefit from its multifunctional venue in Singapore. Consensus 2023 provided a platform for networking and showcasing our latest developments, including the full integration of Stripe for expanded payment options.
MAY: Our team descended upon Barcelona for the Avalanche Summit, further solidifying our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry events.
JUNE: PARSIQ’s Tsunami API expanded its reach with a launch on Metis. Partnerships with Protofire and the announcement on my appointment as new CEO, marked a significant moment in our leadership journey. We introduced a new pricing model and initiated the Unicornization Campaign, demonstrating our commitment to accessibility and innovation.
JULY: Strategic partnerships with Thrilld and Hera Finance highlighted our commitment to collaboration. The Ethereum Community Conference provided an opportunity to showcase our innovations.
AUGUST: The launch of Tsunami API on Polygon zkEVM marked a significant milestone. Collaborations with Uniblock and participation in ETHToronto and Blockchain Futurist Conference reinforced our position as industry leaders.
SEPTEMBER: The Unicorn Workshop delved into reliability challenges in Web3 data retrieval, and received an overwhelming response from developers with more than 60 project submissions. The announcement of Tsunami API joining Alibaba Cloud Services and partnerships with Cyberport and introducing Reactive Network and ReactEVM demonstrated our commitment to pushing the boundaries of blockchain interactivity. At the same time, our leadership team went to Singapore for both Ethereum Singapore 2023 and Token 2049, outlining our strong focus in developing our Asian market reach.
OCTOBER: Educational videos showcased the diverse applications of Tsunami API and the PARSIQ SDK. I was also invited to be a speaker at Zebu Live in London, sharing more about blockchain data and its future trends.
NOVEMBER: Our Community Manager represented PARSIQ at the Alibaba Cloud Summit and a few other blockchain events in Hong Kong, introducing Reactive Network and showcasing our commitment to advancing Web3 technology especially in Asia.
DECEMBER: As the year concluded, we celebrated a monumental achievement — securing the first investment to propel the development of Reactive Network. The Unicorn Workshop series offered success stories and a comprehensive SDK walk-through, providing valuable insights for our community.
Looking Ahead to 2024: A Year of Revolution and Expansion
The upcoming year promises to be exhilarating. We are poised to launch the Reactive Network, revolutionising the construction of smart contracts and nurturing a true internet of blockchains. This leap will not only cater to early adopters but also bridge the gap to the early majority, fostering a mass-market approach that extends blockchain technology to various industries.
For our API services, anticipate new blockchain integrations, enhanced data lakes functionalities, and the much-requested CSV exports. We’re intently listening to the developer community, and these updates reflect our commitment to addressing their needs. The expansion of our API user base will synergize with the Reactive Network launch, particularly benefiting clients with real-time and high-speed data requirements.
The Reactive Network and Beyond
The development of Reactive Smart Contracts (RSCs) is progressing impressively, and we’re gearing up to embark on the development of the Relayer network, mainnet, and tokenomics in 2024. As RSC development reaches key milestones, expect sneak peeks of these groundbreaking advancements.
